Here are some of the cars I've come across in the past few years. Most were snapped at Scottish classic car shows. There's no common theme. Some are underdogs, some aren't.

A desirable classic car and a Rolls Royce. The Marina and Rolls are united by a common era and the fact that somebody loves them.

Jowetts at Biggar. No smart comments, just nice cars.

Hey look, a Reliant! Let's laugh at it. Then let's laugh on the other side of our faces when the Rebels and Kittens stuff the opposition in the autotest.

This is a JZR kit car. Styled on a Morgan three-wheeler, it has has a Honda CX500 engine and weighs as much as a tea tray. I had a shot in this as a passenger. At the end of the ride you could tell I'd enjoyed it by the flies in my teeth.

A barrel of fun? This oil drum on wheels is a Moss Monaco kit car and is based on the Triumph Herald / Spitfire family of cars.

The Bond Equipe used a Triumph Vitesse floor pan and Bond's own fibreglass body. Cynics claimed it retained all the bits of the Vitesse that rusted and replaced all the panels that didn't. But cynics are a bunch of sad g**s, aren't they?

Hey, I learned to drive in one of these....

The Herald in the foreground is mine. I think the other one belongs to Barbie.

Hey, I got taken to my last resting place in one of these... (Make your own "original body" jokes.)

Good grief... an interesting MGB GT!

Another police car. Fortunately, this is a MK11 Triumph GT6 with rotoflex suspension. Transporting criminals in a MK 1 would be a violation of human rights.
